This week, I’m wishing that I had invented the binder clip. This thing is amazing. Uh-maze-ing. Never mind it’s original purpose. Yes, it’s fabulous for holding the huge stacks of “need to grade” papers together. Blah. Who cares. I use them for other things. Creative? Yes. My idea? No. (That’s the other thing I’m wishing — that I had come up with the first idea for labeling myself. Genius.)

I use binder clips on my horizontal shelves as labels. That way, if I decide to move things around, it's not painful to re-label things.

Binder clips to attach
I keep ALL of my school files on a big ol’ flash drive, because I bring my personal computer to work. I used to leave the thing everywhere, until I attached it to a tiny binder clip and clipped it to my keys. Problem solved!

(I also use this idea when I go for runs around my neighborhood — a house key clipped to my running pants!)

Binder clips for my sanity
I have an old filing cabinet that sticks and gets jammed up easily. The files get stuck underneath the little mechanism-thingymabobber.
I don’t know or care what the thing is called, so whatever, it sucks. To fix the issue, I clipped a binder clip to each side of the drawer to keep the files back, and now, the cabinet opens without making me scream and kick it, and ultimately call the extremely hard-working maintenance men in our school. Yay.

Miracle device.
