I try to get into our school’s computer lab as often as I can. I LOVE going in there for tests — it means that I have less to grade and that our kids are getting ready for the next wave of standardized testing, which will be done via computers. But it also means that once kids are done with their test, and done playing on Edmodo, and done with using their brains in general, they all want to play games online. Specifically, they all want to get onto Cool Math Games, which is a great site, but there are some games on the site that make me wonder how they are actually helping kids with math skills.

So, I’ve been hunting… and hunting some more… and it turns out that great game sites aren’t that hard to find. The new one I’m loving is Games for the Brain. It’s got some pretty fun and addicting games that require your full attention and concentration. I’ll be sure to offer this site up for some brain-y fun next time my kiddos are in the lab!
